Heligor Prime

    Heligor Prime is the hydrogen-helium gas giant at the heart of this moon system. Eredon orbits Heligor and is tidally locked to it, meaning Heligor always sits in the same part of the sky from the Heligor-facing hemisphere of Eredon. Its atmosphere is a crushing furnace of sulfur and metal vapor; nothing lives there.

    Composition

    The extra metal and sulfur over Jupiter's composition is why Heligor shows deep copper and rust-red cloud bands instead of Jupiter's muted tan.

    Orbit

    Heligor takes 200 game-days to complete one orbit around the sun. Each orbit produces one eclipse, where Heligor passes between Eredon and the sun and Eredon falls into its shadow for a few hours. The astro command shows the next eclipse time on the game calendar.
